A new survey finds is more possible than the men who are sexually active in their 20s and 30s develop the cancer of the prostate. especially if they frequently masturbate.

The message, maybe,: Wait until central age.

The survey also found this sexual activity frequents in a man 40s appears to have small effect and even small levels of sexual activity in a man 50s could offer the protection of the illness. Most differences have rather been assigned to masturbation that sexual intercourse.

However, some previous studies had produced a lot of different findings. The result:  More of survey are required to solve this one.

The survey, led by the university of Nottingham, looked at the practices sexual of more than 431 men who had been diagnosed with cancer of the prostate before the age of 60, with 409 controls that don't have cancer of the prostate.

Among men with cancer of the prostate, 34 percent had frequently masturbated in their 20s, compared to 24 percent among the group witness. A similar extent has been found for the men in their 30s.

The results, based on the questionnaires, are retailed in the newspaper BJU International (the British Newspaper of urology).

The gland of the prostate secretes a milky fluid that mixes with semen and bladder seminal semen become fluid. The cancer of the prostate is the second main reason of deaths of the cancer among men in the United States, after cancer of the lung, according to the Centers for Control of the Illness and Prevention. Roughly 30,000 thimble of him every year.

In 2004 (the most recent year for which the data are available), 189,075 new cases of cancer of the prostate have been diagnosed to the United States, and 29,002 men died of the cancer.

"We were sharpened to look at the ties between activity sexual and younger men as a lot of cancer of the prostate studies the center on the oldest men as the illness is more present in the men more of 50", said author Polyxeni Dimitropoulou who is now at the university of Cambridge to main role.

"The hormones appear to play a key role in cancer of the prostate and it is very common to deal some men with therapy to reduce the hormones thought to stimulate the cells of the cancer", Dimitropoulou said. A "man's libido is also adjusted by his/her/its levels of the hormone, therefore this survey examined the theory that to have a high libido affects the risk of cancer of the prostate."

Dimitropoulou said more needs to be learned about what enters on in the body before the results should be seen like conclusive, however.

There are first studies that confirm left of our findings or are inconclusive, except those that are in disagreement with our findings", that Dimitropoulou told LiveScience. "Until the mechanisms are clarified and are clearly established us cannot be certain about the result of all survey."

Other findings:

59 percent of the men in the two so-called groups that they had taken part in sexual activity (sexual intercourse or masturbation) 12 times per months or more in their 20s. It fell regularly as they became older, to 48 percent in their 30s, 28 percent in their forties and 13 percent in their 50s.
39 percent of the group of the cancer had had six feminine partners or more, compared with 31 percent the group witness.
Been more possible than the men with cancer of the prostate had had a sexually transmitted illness that those without cancer of the prostate.

"A possible explanation for the protective effect that the men in their fifties appear to receive total sexual activity, and in particular masturbation, is that the release of toxins accumulated during reduced sexual activity the risk to develop the cancer in the region of the prostate", Dimitropoulou said. However, "this theory has not been established firmly and the supplementary research is necessary."
