Think of these realities: 1.There are a lot of cases of prostate cancer among African American men (209 cases in 100,000 – 1991 data) than among white men (159 cases per 100,000). As a matter of fact, according to the NCI, African American men could get the highest incidence of prostate cancer in the world. Black men in U.S.A. are at least 50 percent more probable to get prostate cancer than men of any other racial or ethnic group in this state. Conversely, some of the lowest incidence rates of prostate cancer are detected among black men in certain areas of Africa. 2.Roughly 66 percent of Black men diagnosed with prostate cancer survive at least five years likened to 81 percent of white men with the disease. This could be due, in part, to the reality that Black men incline to be diagnosed at later levels, after the cancer has grown.Mortality rates among Black prostate cancer victims is doubly as high as that for white men, and this rate is growing almost two percent a year – compared to a one percent yearly growth for white men. 3.The causes for this disparity are obscure. Even while education and income elements are equal, the incidence of prostate cancer is all the same higher for Black men in America. 4.Studies are in progress in three different regions of the country to inquire the causes that will analyze affects of things like diet, lifestyle and environmental photos, along with hormonal and genetical differences.
